Health Frontiers
Health Frontiers is a non-profit organization that has decades of experience providing healthcare to children who have been traumatized by disasters, and in training pediatric healthcare providers worldwide.
Health Frontiers needs our support to assist in their ongoing work with children in Haiti and around the world. The Founders
Health Frontiers was founded in 1991 by Karen Olness MD, Hakon Torjesen, and several of their colleagues at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). Its work has been managed by them and a volunteer board, including family members. The HF office is located on the Torjesen/Olness family farm near Kenyon, Minnesota. HF has no paid headquarters staff.
Health Frontiers is registered as a non- profit organization in Minnesota, and classified as a 501(c)(3) public charity under the US tax code. Its EIN number is 34-1694322.
